1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Task Remote, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, resident in Kenya, and hold an active, registered M-Pesa account to use Task Remote. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and current.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Each user may hold only one active Task Remote account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Tasks and Gigs

Task Remote connects users with short online tasks posted by verified partner businesses. We make reasonable efforts to vet listed tasks, but we do not guarantee the availability, frequency, or ongoing supply of gigs. Task requirements, rates, and availability may change at any time.

5. Payments and Payouts

• Earnings are calculated based on tasks successfully completed and verified.
• Payouts are made via M-Pesa to the phone number registered on your account, subject to the minimum withdrawal threshold displayed on the Platform.
• Task Remote is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment networks, including Safaricom M-Pesa system downtime.
• We reserve the right to withhold or reverse payment for tasks completed fraudulently, in bad faith, or in violation of these Terms.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, incomplete, or duplicated task work.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to complete tasks.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent platform limits.
• Harass, defraud, or mislead other users, partner businesses, or Task Remote staff.

Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account, and forfeiture of unpaid earnings associated with the violation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including its logo, design, and software, is owned by Task Remote or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

Task Remote is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of earnings due to task unavailability or payment processing delays.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
